Bremerton Wines - Matilda Plains 2008 Cab Shiraz

Bremerton Wines hit home with their latest offering from Langhorne Creek. This is a great blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It reminds me of a Chris Ringland wine, but this one is very affordable. Think Mollydooker or similar...

It's big, but not overly so. Raisins, black cherries, and a but of dust on the palette. Good finish, better than most at this price point. This would make a nice winter red for the weekdays but also would pair well with a big red meat dish. Also, I'd try it with grilled bbq sauce meats for summer.

Price - $11 or so on sale, $18 retail.

T-Scale: 90 points! Very good price for this quality in an Australian big red wine. This from the winemaker's web site:
